A Shout-Out to Backyard Bash Leaders, Volunteers, and Sponsors!
This year’s Backyard Bash had everything…beautiful weather, fun activities, new TMA t-shirts, and the highest attendance in recent memory! And, it would not have happened without a cadre of hard-working parent and grandparent volunteers. “Kudos!” and “Thank You!!!” to Lisa Rebstock for her leadership and Alamaze Harrison who filled in for Lisa, when needed. And, as amazing as Lisa and Alamaze are, even they could not have ensured the success of the event without the support of volunteers and event sponsors. Heartfelt thanks to volunteers who invested countless hours in ensuring event tasks were completed and sponsors who invested financial resources in helping cover expenses of the Bash so that TMA families and friends could attend the event free-of-charge.
Volunteers included:
Holly & Jim Harper, Nicole Blanco & Danny Viator, Angela Swindell, Allison Butz, Andrea Landy, Maria Adams, Misty Lester, Constance Munge, Sarmin & Adiel Correa, Amanda & Sean Holliday, Kelly Nejati, Brandi Borougerdi, Elizabeth Reep, Angela Cardozo, Griselda Stroter, Monica Sosa, Calvin Walker, Maurice Williams, William Beksi, Li Han, and Jennifer Viner
Sponsors included parents, grandparents, and Board members:
Siamak & Kelly Nejati, Molly Gamades, Erin Morgan & James Payne, Tim & Brandy Austin, Tim & Gale Pileggi, Paul & Alamaze Harrison, Kurtis & Holli Jetsel, Allan & Pam Dunbar, and Brian & Suzanne Dangelmaier
On behalf of the children of TMA, an enthusiastic “thank you” for investing your time and financial resources in ensuring this year’s Backyard Bash was a “beyond amazing” event for all families who attended!

Early Childhood PDO: A Playful Child and Academic Readiness
Thursday, November 15, 5-6 pm
Join us for this Early Childhood Parent Development Opportunity: A Playful Child and Academic Readiness, presented by Audrey Rowland. Audrey has over 20 years of experience as an early childhood professional. Drawing from her expertise as a teacher and administrator, Audrey creates resources and provides professional development for early educators, administrators, parents, and policy-makers. Audrey earned a MS from the University of North Texas in Child Development and Family Studies and a MBA from Texas Woman’s University.
Dr. Montessori said that play is the work of the child. How does play prepare children for academic and life success? What types of play are most productive and purposeful? How can we protect our child’s playfulness and support their work? In this quick workshop we will discuss the impact of play on brain development and social success and provide practical ideas for school and home.
Please RSVP to Ashley to let us know you if will attend and whether you will need childcare, which will be provided free of charge.
